Installation records, seals and modernization readiness
The physical meter and the information system must describe the same asset. Serial number, service point, form, voltage, class, CT/PT ratios, multiplier, firmware where applicable, test result, seal identifiers, installation date and field findings create the operational record. Silent edits break the history that investigations depend on.

What is physically and operationally happening?
The physical meter and the information system must describe the same asset. Serial number, service point, form, voltage, class, CT/PT ratios, multiplier, firmware where applicable, test result, seal identifiers, installation date and field findings create the operational record. Silent edits break the history that investigations depend on.
Good conventional-meter records are also modernization infrastructure. They reveal service configurations, difficult sites, replacement quantities, socket or enclosure conditions and customer master-data gaps before an AMI rollout. Poor records convert every installation into rediscovery.
